đź•’ Coming soon
This feature is currently under development and will be launched early fall 2025.
At Winningtemp, we know today’s workplaces are dynamic. That’s why we’re soon launching Flexible teams, a new module that supports different ways of organising—like matrix setups, project-based work, or team-based structures.
With many people part of several teams simultaneously, it’s now easier to measure engagement across multiple teams and clearly see which team or teams you're responding to.
New team types
Thanks to this update, employees can belong to several teams at the same time — one direct reporting team and several cross-functional teams .
Here’s how they work:
-
Direct reporting teams follow your official organisational structure, based on reporting lines from your HR system (previously called "Groups").
-
Cross-functional teams bring together people from different departments to collaborate on shared projects or goals. These teams work just like direct reporting teams, supporting hierarchy, team managers, and team-specific comments.
This new structure gives you more flexibility, without touching your org chart. Admins can also assign local managers to cross-functional teams, so team leads or project owners get just the right level of control.
Mapping survey question to a context
We’ve introduced question mapping to better reflect how people actually work — across different teams and projects. By mapping each survey question to either an organisational or team context, the feedback becomes more relevant and useful, making sure the right manager gets the right input, at the right time.
We've made it easy for you and Winningtemp provides a default mapping for this, but you can adjust most of the mappings to fit your needs.
- Organisational questions are answered once per survey. Comments go directly to the employee’s direct reporting manager.
- Team-specific questions are answered once for each team the employee is part of for the specific survey, both direct reporting and cross-functional teams. Comments and temperatures go directly to the manager of each specific team.
The new survey flow
With question mapping in place, surveys are now smarter and more contextual. Employees can share feedback across multiple teams in one single survey flow.
If a survey includes organisational and team-specific questions, the employees can see which teams it relates to and hover over the tooltip to see who the manager is. This helps them give clearer, more relevant feedback, and helps leaders understand the context.
After the survey
Our analysis tools work just like before — but now they support both direct reporting and cross-functional teams. Wherever you used to see “Groups” (like in the Temperature view, Heatmap, or Guided Temperature meetings), you’ll now see both team types for a more complete view.
Anonymisation
When questions are linked to specific teams or parts of the organisation, the answers end up where they belong. This means fewer “group anonymised” comments, and managers can see which team the feedback came from.
When can I get access?
This functionality will roll out in early fall 2025, and we’ll let you know directly in Winningtemp. Stay tuned! 🚀
