In a temperature segment, you will notice a small arrow going up/down in the top right corner.
This is called a trend, something we value very highly since this will give you an indication of where the company is heading within the specific category. The system compares the last 30 days of answers to the current period settings, but the results can vary depending on which settings you've picked.
Example:
Let's say today is the 30th of April and your current settings are that you're displaying the last three months of data (as displayed below).
The trend will show the last 30 days compared to the temperature from the 1st of January - the 31st of March. If you change the timeline to only one month, the trend would then compare the last 30 days against March.
If you'd like to change the number of visible months, you can do so in the settings:
- Go to the Admin view
- Click Settings
- Click System
- Here you'll find the below section where you can change it.
Tips for managers
If the trend shows more than 10%, we encourage you to stop and think, why is the trend looking like that? Have there been any major changes in the organisation or team? Bring the discussion to the team/group and try to identify the root cause of the change. This approach goes for both positive and negative trends.
Research shows that it's more productive to focus on what the team's strengths are than the improvement areas. Try to identify what your co-workers like, and are happy with, and focus extra on that.
