How to enable mixed-mode authentication

What is mixed-mode authentication?

Mixed mode authentication is a setting available for organisations that use SSO (single sign-on) to sign in to Winningtemp. With mixed-mode authentication, specific users can sign in with a dedicated username and password instead of SSO. A perfect solution for bigger organisations where some companies use SSO, but others don't.

How to enable mixed-mode authentication

  1. The setting below is only visible if you've set up an SSO integration. Read more about integrations: Learn more about Integrations.
  2. Switch to the Admin view
  3. Click Settings
  4. Click Security
  5. Under Mixed-more authentication, click Enable mixed-mode authentication
  6. Click Save.

Enable mixed-mode authentication for specific users

Now that the setting above has been activated, a new toggle is available in the user directory:

  1. Switch to the Admin view
  2. Click Administration
  3. Click User directory
  4. Use the search function to find the user
  5. Click on the user
  6. At the bottom of the page, click Enforce forms based authentication
  7. Click Save.

From the user's perspective

The user can now click Login using password and use a dedicated username and password to sign in to Winningtemp.

Note: the user might need to create a new password to be able to sign in by clicking Login using password and then Forgot password?
