A guided temperature meeting gives your team a ready-made structure to talk about what matters most, based on your pulse or periodic survey results. You pick the team and the results, and the meeting is ready to run.
Create a meeting
- Under the tab Meetings, click Team meetings
- Click Temperature Meetings
- Click Create Meeting
Step 1 - Choose the team, date and number of topics
- Team: select one team from the list (subteams are not included), Direct members only, or a custom team. Managers can select the teams they manage and all their subteams.
- Meeting date: You can start the meeting at any time on this day. Pick a date within 14 days, so the topics are still relevant.
- Meeting topics: choose 1 or 2. With a team of around 6 people, 1 topic takes about 25 to 30 minutes, and 2 topics take about 35 to 45 minutes.
Step 2 - Choose the survey results
You decide which results the meeting is built on. You only see the options your organisation has data for. If your organisation has pulse results, Current pulse results are selected first. Otherwise, Latest periodic results are.
- Current pulse results: answers from today and some months back. Your organisation sets the number of months.
- Latest periodic results: the most recent periodic survey for the team.
- Other results: choose from all available results, either by Period (pick a time period and a survey type, pulse or periodic) or by Survey (pick one or more survey rounds).
If the team doesn't have enough temperature data, pick a different time period or other results.
3. Check the meeting details
The meeting follows a ready-made structure, so you only need to adjust the purpose and topics if needed.
- Purpose: We’ve filled this in for you. Feel free to tweak it, or just click “Regenerate purpose” to try again.
- Topics: With pulse results selected, Winningtemp suggests topics based on your data. With periodic results or another period, you choose the topics yourself.
- You can change the topic, change the inquiry, and choose whether the inquiry shows in the meeting agenda. You can also change the inquiry together during the meeting.
Click Create Meeting. The meeting shows as an upcoming meeting in all participants' meeting lists in Winningtemp. Book it in your calendar, and add a video link if you hold it remotely.
Difference in temperature results
With pulse results, we use the default time range set by your organisation, not a custom range you may have chosen on your team temperature page. So the numbers may not match. To use a different time range, choose Other results and then Period.
Meet with a custom team
A custom team lets you invite several teams, or people from across the organisation, to the same meeting while everyone's anonymity is kept.
- To create one, choose Create custom team in the Team list, name it and choose the participants. To change or delete one, choose Manage custom teams on the create meeting page.
- It needs at least 2 teams, at least 3 users, or a combination of teams and users.
- It uses one temperature, Default meeting temperature, which is the closest team where all participants can see temperature data. The page tells you which one and why. One exception: a custom team made of 1 team plus one or more users uses that team's default meeting temperature.
If a team has fewer users than the anonymity threshold or no temperature data at its own level, the meeting uses its parent team's temperature. - Users you add to a team can't see earlier meetings for it, and users you remove still see the ones they were invited to.
