Choose a frequency that matches your organisation's natural rhythm. The default response window is two weeks, giving everyone enough time to respond before the round closes.
Change the frequency
- Go to Employee surveys.
- Click Periodic surveys.
- Open the survey you want to edit.
- Open General settings.
- Select a new value under Frequency.
- Click Save.
Available frequencies
| Quarterly | Every three months. |
| Every four months (tertiary) | Three times a year, with four months between each round. |
| Bi-yearly | Every six months. |
| Yearly | Once a year. |
Response window
Periodic surveys stay open for two weeks by default, giving your employees enough time to respond without the round dragging on. You can adjust the response window under General settings to set a longer or shorter collection period.
💡 How the question count relates to frequency
Select the question categories and individual questions you want to include in your survey. All selected questions are sent in every round, so think about how many questions your employees can comfortably answer in one sitting.
We recommend the following number of questions based on how often the survey runs:
- Quarterly: up to 30 questions
- Every four months: up to 35 questions
- Every six months: up to 45 questions
- Yearly: up to 60 questions
