Add a comment to your survey response

When you answer a survey in Winningtemp, you can add a free-text comment alongside your score. That comment is often the most valuable thing you share. Scores show how things are going, but your words explain why, and that is what helps your manager take the right action for your team.

What happens to your comment?

Your comment is always anonymous, so write as honestly as you like. Your manager can see which question the comment belongs to, but not who wrote it. No other team members can see each other's comments. Avoid mentioning anything that could identify you directly.

If not enough people on your team have responded, your comment will be moved to a higher level in your organisation until there are enough responses to protect your anonymity.

Can your manager reply?

Yes. Your manager can respond to your comment directly in Winningtemp. You remain anonymous throughout the conversation. See below how it looks from the manager's perspective:

You can also choose to keep your comment from your immediate manager by pressing "Do not show this comment to my immediate manager" when submitting your answer. This means only System Administrators and HR Leaders will see it.

💡 How to write constructive comments

You do not need to write much. A sentence or two with the right focus goes a long way. Here is what tends to help most:

  • Give some background. What is behind your score? A little context helps your manager understand the full picture.
  • Share ideas. If something could be done differently, say so. A suggestion is often more useful than a problem alone.
  • Highlight what is working. Positive feedback is just as valuable. It tells your manager what to protect and keep doing.
  • Be specific. A concrete example lands better than a general feeling.

Note: Each comment is standalone and anonymous, so don’t reference previous comments, as your manager can’t tell which one.

Get started

  1. Open the next survey from your email, desktop, or the app.
  2. Select a smiley
  3. Write a comment
  4. Fill out the rest and click Send answer.

Reply to a conversation

When your manager replies, you'll find it under Conversations in the side menu, where you can follow up and add more context if needed.
