We are developing Team benchmarks, so you can compare against teams with similar functions. To be able to do this, we are enabling you to classify your teams and set a Team function, a description of what your team does in your organization. For example, Sales, IT, Finance and Legal.
Setting a function helps you classify your teams and will allow you to compare specific team results against similar teams across all Winningtemp customers.
Setting a Team function is optional and not applicable to all teams. For example, teams can be by location or project.
How you apply Team function to your teams:
Admins, system administrators, and users with the support role can set or change team functions.
- Go to Administration and click Teams.
- Click the three dots next the team.
- Click Settings.
- Select a function from the Function dropdown. Note: you can only select one function per team.
- Click Save.
Apply a function to all sub-teams
If a team has sub-teams that share the same function, you can pass the function down automatically.
- Go to Administration and click Teams.
- Click the three dots next the team.
- Click Settings.
- Select a function from the Function dropdown and tick the Inherit to subteams checkbox.
- Click Save.
All sub-teams will inherit the parent team's function and update automatically if you change it later. You can still set a separate function for any sub-team at any time, which overrides the inherited value.
Setting Team functions is easy and will enable you to compare your Sales teams against other Sales teams in the future as we continue to develop our platform to provide you with valuable data 🍀.
