What is MCP?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is an open standard that allows an AI agent to connect to another system and retrieve relevant information when answering a question.
When you connect Winningtemp, the AI agent can use permitted Winningtemp data together with its own reasoning to answer your questions. Winningtemp remains the source of the data, while the conversation takes place in your chosen AI agent.
What can I use it for?
You can ask questions in everyday language and receive answers based on your organization’s Winningtemp data. For example:
- How has engagement developed this quarter?
- Which teams have the highest and lowest engagement scores?
- What is our response rate for the latest survey?
- Compare engagement categories across teams.
- Who works in a specific team, and what are their roles?
Supported connections during the beta
For this limited preview for selected customers, the MCP supports the following AI agents:
- Claude
- ChatGPT
- Microsoft Copilot
The setup differs slightly between the services.
Who can connect Winningtemp?
During the limited preview for selected customers, only Winningtemp System Administrators can connect to the integration. The AI agent receives the same organisation-wide, team-level access available to a System Administrator, so access is deliberately limited while we validate setup, security, and answer quality.
How the private beta works
- Register your interest. Complete the sign-up form.
- Request review. Winningtemp reviews each request
- Approval. Winningtemp confirms whether your organization is deemed eligible and give you instructions.
- Connect. Your System Administrators follow the instructions they get for Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT and sign in with their Winningtemp account.
- Start exploring. Ask questions about your organization’s Winningtemp data.
- Share feedback. Tell us about the setup experience, answer quality, usage, and value.
Note: Your organization cannot connect until Winningtemp has approved the request and enabled MCP for the account in this beta.
What data can the AI agent access?
During the beta, the AI agent can retrieve:
- Team engagement scores from 0–10, overall or by engagement category
- Rankings of teams by engagement score
- Surveys and their response rates, including comparisons between teams
- Teams and their members, including name, title and role
- Basic information about a person, including name, title, team and employment dates
The AI agent cannot change any data in Winningtemp. It cannot create surveys, change teams or users, or send messages. Individual answers, individual scores and comments are not available during the beta.
The AI agent can also report a missing capability. If you ask for something the integration cannot do yet, it can send a note about it to Winningtemp, which helps us decide what to build next.
Confidentiality and permissions
The same confidentiality thresholds apply as in Winningtemp. Results are returned only for teams that meet the applicable threshold. During the beta, it’s only for those who have System Administrator access.

Is Winningtemp MCP available to everyone?
No. It is currently a private beta for selected customers. Register your interest using the sign-up form above.
Do I need a specific role in Winningtemp?
Yes. Only System Administrators can connect Winningtemp during the beta.
Can the AI agent change data in Winningtemp?
No. The AI agent can retrieve data but cannot change anything in Winningtemp.
Does it respect Winningtemp’s confidentiality thresholds?
Yes. Team results are returned only when the relevant confidentiality threshold is met.
Which AI agents are supported?
Copilot, Claude and ChatGPT are supported during the private beta.
Can I restrict access to selected teams?
Not in Winningtemp during the beta. The connection uses System Administrator-level access. Some AI service plans may provide separate controls for individual connector agents.
How do I disconnect Winningtemp?
Open the connector settings in Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT and choose to disconnect or remove Winningtemp. In managed workspaces, an owner or administrator may be able to remove the connection for the organization.
