In the overview of your custom surveys, you'll see the average response rate for each survey. If a survey is sent out at regular intervals, the number of recipients can vary between mailings, for example, when new people join the organisation. The average response rate is calculated based on the number of users who receive each mailing.
Let's look at an example:
The first mailing is sent to:
- 20 recipients
- 20 responses
- = 100% response rate
The second mailing is sent to:
- 30 recipients (including the original 20)
- 21 responses
- = 70% response rate
To calculate the average response rate, we add the response rates for each mailing (100 + 70) and divide by the number of mailings (2). In this scenario, the average response rate is 85%.
