What are team categories?

In larger organisations, there are usually many different types of teams, departments or countries. In team categories, you can specify whether a team is an office, department, team, country or subsidiary. After the teams have been differentiated, ensure that your employees have access only to the temperature data for their respective teams. 

For example, with team categories, you can configure it so that your employees can see the temperature for their team, their department, and the total temperature for the company, but they cannot see the temperature for the rest of the teams in the organisation.

Change team category

1. Click Administration
2. Click Teams
3. Locate the team you'd like to change
4. Click on the three dots next to the team
5. Click Settings
6. Click Edit
7. Under Category, select the appropriate team category
8. Click Save.

Note: If you don't specify a team category, it will automatically be tagged as a "Team".

Use the Subsidiary category in surveys

If your organisation has several subsidiaries, you can show each person their own subsidiary's name in your surveys. Give the core team that represents each subsidiary the Subsidiary category, and the name will appear in the questions and in the email subject line. That way, one survey works for your whole group.

Only core teams count. Flex teams never affect the name in your surveys, even if they have the subsidiary category.

Change the temperature presentation setting

You can select which team category your users can see the temperature in their Winningtemp.

1. Click Administration
2. Click System & templates
3. Click Temperature
4. Click Member settings
5. Click Temperature presentation
6. Here, you'll be able to select which team category the user should see in their Winningtemp
7. Select one or several options 
8. Click Save.

Note: Changing the transparency only displays the temperature; comments will not be visible to users.
