Step 2 - Prepare the team

Set expectations together as a team

Start by talking together about what Winningtemp is and how it supports your team's wellbeing and performance. Once everyone understands the purpose, it becomes easier to agree on how you want to work together on your temperature results.

Tips for engaging your team:
  • Align on the basics. When the first survey arrives, talk about how often it’s sent, how many questions it includes, and remind everyone that they can add comments.
  • Set a recurring meeting to review temperature results together.
  • Let employees choose topics for upcoming temperature discussions, and delegate ownership of any agreed‑upon actions within the team.
  • Encourage participation by reminding the team to respond to the survey—and thank them when they do.
  • Once you have clear results, focus on what feels most important to improve. Set simple, meaningful goals based on trends and response rates.

Anonymity – the foundation for honest feedback

For your team to share openly, they need to feel safe knowing their responses are fully anonymous. Taking a moment to walk your team through this can make a real difference in how comfortable they feel participating.

What your employees see in Winningtemp

👉 Next steps

  1. Check your team temperature regularly to spot trends early.
  2. Bring one insight to your next team discussion and ask for their perspective.
Step 4 - Follow up on comments

Reply to comments

When your team start responding to the surveys, they will start leaving comments. Responding to these comments is one of the most important things you can do as a manager. It shows that their feedback matters, helps them feel heard, and encourages a culture where people feel comfortable sharing more.

👉 Next steps

  1. Reply to at least one new comment this week to show the team that their input matters. Look for patterns in comments that highlight what the team needs most.
Step 5 - Engage the team

Temperature meetings

Guided Temperature Meetings help you turn results and comments into meaningful conversations with your team. The meeting runs inside Winningtemp and includes interactive parts that make it easy for everyone to contribute.

Praise

Praise helps you build a positive, supportive team culture. Even small moments of appreciation can strengthen motivation, confidence, and collaboration.

👉 Next steps

  1. Schedule your first Guided Temperature Meeting (or a short temperature check‑in)
  2. Send praise to a colleague.
Step 6 - Follow through on actions

Why follow up matters

The final step is to follow up on the commitments and actions you agreed on in earlier steps. By now, you and your team have built a shared understanding of your temperature results, explored insights, discussed comments, and had temperature meetings.

Following up helps you close the loop and show the team that their feedback leads to real change. Regular follow‑up keeps everyone aligned, builds trust, and helps you track whether the actions you chose together are making a difference. It also makes it easier to adjust or set new commitments as the team’s temperature evolves over time.

👉 Next steps

  1. Review the team’s commitments regularly and share progress openly. Adjust or set new actions based on how the team temperature evolves.
