The result sharing settings let you decide whether managers and members see results as soon as a round closes, or only after a system administrator has reviewed them first. That way, you stay in control of how results are shared and can add context before they reach a wider audience.
How result sharing works
For each periodic survey, you can choose one of two default options. You set this during the survey setup, and you can always change it later.
| Yes, share automatically (default) | Results are shared with managers as soon as each round closes. Use this when you want managers to see results straight away, without waiting for a review. |
| No, hold and publish manually | Results are held until you publish them manually. Use this option when you want to review results before they go out, prepare leadership, or time the rollout alongside a communication. |
System administrators, HR leaders, and people analysts always receive the close-of-round summary email when a round closes, regardless of this setting, so you can review results before you publish.
💡 When results are held
If a round isn't published yet, managers and members won't see the data, no comments appear, and no summary email or notification is sent. This gives you space to review results and prepare before anything reaches your teams.
Any conversations that were already started stay visible, so no existing dialogue is lost.
