This article describes the setup flow for a Pulse survey. To set up a quarterly, four-monthly, bi-yearly, or yearly Periodic survey, see Set up a Periodic survey.
Note: Only System administrators and the support role can create pulse surveys.
How to create a pulse survey
- Click Employee surveys
- Click Surveys
- Click Create survey
- Select Pulse

Decide on the following survey settings
Subject line
- Click on the Subject line.
- You can write a custom subject line for the survey or use predefined suggestions. Another option is to use the survey's first question as the subject line. Please don't hesitate to add any translations needed in your organisation.
Can I edit the questions?
Yes. We recommend making only minor changes to the question and avoiding changes that alter its nature. Sometimes you may need to rephrase a question, for example, remove the word "leader" from the question: "Do you feel that you get support from your immediate manager/leader at XX when you need it"?
Ready to launch the survey?
- If you want to preview the mailing before it goes live, you can click Send test mailing.
- Otherwise, click Launch survey.
