Introduction  

AI conversation helps your organisation explore engagement results in more detail through targeted AI-powered follow-up surveys.

It allows selected teams to dive deeper into specific engagement areas and uncover actionable insights.

Preparations

When you activate the AI conversation, a little preparation goes a long way. Here's what we recommend:

  • You have access to up to 3 teams in the free tier (for example: your HR team and 1–2 Manager teams). Learn more below. This helps you understand the experience, anticipate questions, and set your rollout up for success.  

  • Start with teams that are already actively working with engagement insights.

  • Choose question categories aligned with your current HR or leadership priorities.

  • Inform managers in advance of the AI conversations' purpose to ensure strong participation and follow-up. Read more: AI conversation: Manager guide


Step 1 - Activation (System administrators & HR)

  1. To activate the free tier for your organisation, go to System & templates. 
  2. Click AI. 
  3. Select which teams should have access to AI conversation (up to 3 teams are available in the free tier).
  4. Select a question category. The chosen category applies to all selected teams. The following categories are available in the pilot (more options coming soon): Leadership, Job satisfaction, and Work situation.
  5. After activation, managers and HR leaders responsible for the selected teams can create AI conversation surveys. See step 2 to learn how to send one.

🔒 How we protect your anonymity

Team members participate in an AI-guided conversation, and all replies remain completely anonymous. The AI is designed to remove any personal, identifying, or concrete details before the text is processed.

All input is then aggregated, so no individual responses can ever be viewed. The default anonymity threshold is 5 respondents, meaning a summary is generated only when at least 5 unique team members have participated.

This protects your anonymity and ensures that insights can never be traced back to individuals.

Free tier, beta testing 🧪

This feature is available as a free trial in all Winningtemp plans, so your pilot teams can experience the value before you scale up.

  • The question categories, Leadership, Work situation, and Job satisfaction, are available now. More categories will be added throughout the spring.
  • One team can run an AI conversation at a time.
  • You can activate the free tier for up to 3 teams.
  • Available on Desktop, Microsoft Teams, and Slack (mobile and check-in support coming soon).
  • The chat and results page are in English (more languages coming soon).

FAQ

What is the free tier?
The free tier lets you try AI conversation with up to 3 teams, and is available on all Winningtemp plans. Each time a survey is sent to a team, that team takes up one of your three pilot spots.

How do I get full access for my organisation?
Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to explore pricing and expand AI conversation to your whole organisation.

How can I create a temporary testing team?

  1. Create a new FLEX team and select Exclude from question mailing in the final step to not receive your regular surveys for this team. Add the testing members as HR Leader and/or User*. Assign each person one or both of the roles below, depending on what you want to test.
  2. Activate the feature using the steps above, and add the new test team in the team access section.
  3. Start a test AI conversation by following the steps in Start an AI conversation. Then click Send test mailing to send the email to yourself. Use the link in the email to test the chat experience.
  4. Delete the team once testing is complete.

*Understanding test team roles

Role What it lets you do
HR Leader Create AI conversation surveys, send test emails, and view results (under Survey results, view AI Summary & Insights at team level)
User Answer the AI conversation survey and contribute to the results

By combining both roles in your test team, everyone can experience both the creation flow and the respondent experience. Decide within your team who should wear which "hat", or assign both roles to each person for a full end-to-end test.
